Data Terminal Systems.

Going through old photos I found this picture of a Data Terminal Systems Series 400 cash register in Canada. I believe there’s an old mall or shopping center that’s preserved in its legacy state, complete with three checkouts and these registers.

Anyone remember the location?

  1. This a model 440 as the 400 model was used for mostly fast food. The only difference was the layout of the keyboard and the bios chips.

  2. The place you’re thinking of is Kitsault, BC. There are a lot of cool photos of the town on Flickr. I think I became aware of it while looking for photos of Sears stores. I read through all the entries on your site; it was pretty interesting. Your knowledge and enthusiasm is impressive. I would love to see some more Canada-related posts, but I suppose the info can be hard to come across.
